Things to see in Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is a very charming island which is laid at the heart of the Canary archipelago. Gran Canaria is known as a ‘miniature continent’ because of its varied landscape. Desserts, mountains, lush subtropical forests, vineyard and banana plantations are all includes in its mesmerizing beauty. Las Palmas, a cosmopolitan city decorated with beautiful old buildings is known as capital of Canaria.

There are several things you should not miss to see while you are there. They are:
  • Telde: Telde is a municipal city nearby Cuarto Puertas. Telde has above 100 archaeological sites. So, many things can learn from local historian.
  • Teror: Teror is a small town with lovely wide streets lined with colonial house. Important site in the town is 18th century’s jewelled shrine, Gothic tower and Bishop’s Palace.
  • Aldea Valley: This place is photogenic. Spectacular east coast views can capture in your camera. Don’t forget to take your camera with you if you visit this place.
  • Galdar: This place is a historic site. Fascinating painted cave and ancient pictograph can observe from long lost Guanche civilization.
  • Ingenio: This is the oldest village on island full of Guanche artefacts and old farm tools and rocks that used in that time.
